Simply Heating: from Figma design to live site

Context

Simply Heating & Air Conditioning is an HVAC company in Ottawa, Canada, serving residential and commercial customers for more than 20 years. Their website is a primary channel for generating service requests, especially for emergency heating and cooling services. The project came through Pekan Designs, where I worked as a freelance Web Developer from March to December 2023.

My Role

I developed the website from a Figma design using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, and Elementor. My work included translating the design into responsive pages, implementing interactive components, optimizing layouts across devices, and ensuring reliable contact flows through forms and click-to-call actions.

Challenge

The website needed to match the approved design while remaining responsive, fast, and easy to manage through WordPress. Since many visitors were looking for urgent HVAC services, every page had to make contact information accessible and work consistently across desktop and mobile devices.

Solution

I built the website from the provided Figma files, creating responsive layouts and reusable Elementor sections while adding custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where needed. I also supported ongoing content updates and developed AI-powered chatbots for client websites during my time at Pekan Designs.
